Acoustic & Asana: Return to Light this Winter Solstice

Join the Acoustic & Asana duo Georgina Dacheff and Lauren Pilat for their return to Twisting Peacock for a deeply grounding and soul-nourishing evening in honour of the Winter Solstice,  the longest night and a powerful turning point from darkness back toward light.

Acoustic & Asana: Return to Light is a meditative journey that weaves together the stillness of restorative yin yoga with the healing resonance of live acoustic music.

As you flow through supportive yin postures lovingly led by Lauren, you’ll experience the magic of Georgina’s live original music where she combines guitar, piano, and angelic vocals to cultivate an intimate healing haven with medicinal melodies.

An experience beyond a practice or a performance. It’s a space outside of time that holds you, softens you, and reminds you that you are made of rhythm, breath, sound, and stillness.

The space will mirror the arc of the season: starting in dim candlelight as we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and Makuru - the season of fertility that brings the first heavy rains, and sees the Scarlet banksia in bloom. Fire is important at this time and we will reflect this by cultivating your agni (or fire) within through pranayama (breathwork) to ensure you remain warm throughout while the dimmed lighting will slowly brighten, reflecting the seasonal change and (eventual) return of the sun.

You'll be invited into silent reflection and intention-setting, supported by journaling prompts and a closing ritual.

This event is a sacred pause — a chance to honour your inner rhythms, let go of what no longer serves, and plant the seeds of new light.

Includes: Yin yoga with props, yoga mats and blankets supplied; live music; and tea.

Bring: Own yoga mat if you prefer, comfies to snuggle up in, journal and pen, water bottle.

Wear: Loose comfortable warm clothing.

All levels welcome.
